Sutter’s Landing Panorama
The translation from Spanish is The Snowy Sawtooth Mountains. John Muir called them The Majestic Sierras.
Take a relaxing walk or bike ride over to 28th Street to the Sutter’s Landing Park. As you cross the railroad tracks, look to your left. Head out into the field and walk up on that big mound of dirt. It’s an easy gentle slope, so your children won’t have any problem getting up (though you might have a problem getting them to come down). On a clear day you can see a breathtaking panorama of our city, the park, blue skies and snowy caps. Ah, it’s springtime.
