Every 10 years we get the results from the U.S. Census. On April first the 2010 census facts and figures are due and city governments across the nation are planning for change.
Sacramento is no different.
Our city’s 2011 reapportionment of 8 Council Districts will reflect population changes in Sacramento.
The way we draw the district lines in the city is the basis for the allocation of political power. It’s important that citizens’ voices are heard and represented in the process.
Help keep this process open and fair by participating in the reapportionment. The city is looking for citizens to join in to help draw the new district lines for the city.
