Volunteers Needed – Tree Canopy (Feb 1)

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

East Sacramento Preservation Neighborhood Association is partnering with the Sacramento City Parks Arborist and the Sacramento Tree Foundation to replace missing trees in McKinley Park.

We need your help!

Join us on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 9:00 AM to plant 10–15 trees. We’re looking for 30–35 volunteers to make this project a success.

What to Expect:

  • City staff will provide equipment to auger planting holes and supply stakes.
  • Volunteers will clear holes, plant, and stake the trees.
  • Please wear close-toe shoes and bring a pair of work gloves. Shovels and additional tools will be provided by the City Parks Department.

Let’s create a lasting legacy of shade and beauty for future generations.

Special Trash Dash Event

We have a Special Trash Dash Event, June 8, 2024. Beginning at 9:00 am Volunteers from Professional Finishers District Council 16 highly welcomed.
This group will be bringing breakfast goodies (pastries, coffee, etc.) starting at 9 am.
We’ll do the Trash Dash from 10 am to noon. 

To Enroll as a Volunteer for this Event, Sacramento City has a new online enroll and waiver form that can be completed ahead of time. Completing this enrollment step is essential.

I look forward to seeing you there; we meet in the front lawn to the right of the entrance to the Clunie Memorial near the duck pond and the G street, Alhambra Blvd Intersections.
