Push to Get Housing Issues on Statewide Ballot
Our Neighborhood Voices is sponsoring a Statewide Initiative in an attempt to get the SB 9&10 laws onto the midterm California ballot for voters to decide the fate of local housing needs. As it stands now, these laws will allow 6 to fourteen housing units to be built in previously R-1 zoned (single-family dwelling) lots. The units will be your new neighbors. The initiative requests that land use decisions should be left to local government.
Contact Will Green, 916-202-7956, or wgreen@surewest.net if you are interested in signing an initiative petition sponsored by Our Neighborhood Voices and our local organization, Save Sacramento Neighborhoods.
