Two Fun East Sacramento Events
Taste of East Sac Returns for Third Year
The third annual Taste of East Sac, a wine and food tasting event, will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Shepard Garden and Arts Center.
The tasting is presented by East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, with proceeds benefiting Pops in the Park.
Tickets are $30 in advance or $40 at the door (if available).

Rivers Running Deep and Cold—Children’s Life Vests Needed
Our rivers are never safe for swimming. The snow run off keeps them very cold, and the currents are very strong.
The Sacramento City Fire Department has a critical need for life jackets, especially children’s sizes. You can take them to the Sacramento Fire Dept CERT program, 5770 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822 – Attention Chief King.
