Waimea Valley, Hawaii

East Sacramento Preservation created the flag crossing at 33rd and H Streets. We supply the flags, containers and up-keep and we’ve kept the project going since 2011.

In Hawaii the Waimea Valley runs a similar project. Theirs is a county program. Here’s a photo of their flags. The programs work in both cities. Is it time for Sacramento to expand this safety program?

The City of Sacramento has hired a consultant (North Star Destination Strategies) to indentify our image. While I’m not sure we need a consultant to do this, the survey is interesting and you may want to participate. Here’s the link: SURVEY
