East Sacramento Preservation Helps Postpone Tree Destruction
Sierra Curtis Park Neighborhood Association Heritage Trees Update
The trees get a reprieve. Friday’s hearing (1/21/2011) is postponed, thanks to Councilmember Jay Schenirer who arranged a meeting among the stake holders. East Sacramento Preservation and many others around the city weighed in on the SCNA issue. Read the entire story here.

East Sacramento Preservation Supports Sierra Curtis Park Neighborhood Association
Our neighbors to the south are battling to save the last 57 of the original 357 trees in the Curtis Park rail yard. Some of these last trees are more than 100 years old. Developers must respect the neighborhoods. Old growth trees are part of our heritage and character and can be incorporated into new development. Read the whole story in The Sacramento Press. Support Sierra Curtis Park Neighborhood Association by attending the City Hall Hearing, call the city to ask that the permit request be denied and contact SCNA for more information.
