Volunteers Needed to Plant Trees
East Sacramento Preservation, Neighborhood Association is working with Sacramento City Parks Arborist and Sacramento Tree Foundation to replace trees in McKinley Park.
On January 6th, 2024 at 10:00 am, we need 30-35 volunteers to plant 10-12 trees. The City Staff will provide equipment to auger the holes for planting and the stakes.
We (volunteers) will need to clear the hole with shovels, plant, and stake the trees.
East Sacrament Preservation will provide bladder bags to help assure deeper watering for these newly planted trees.
Finally, Mulch will be placed around the newly planted tree to help with moisture control as well as providing organic nourishment to the trees.
This is a good opportunity to start off the New Year with giving back to our community. Share your interest and intent and be a Tree Volunteer on January 6th, 2024 at 10am.
Please RSVP to Will Green, at : wgreen@surewest.net
