McKinley Park Work Day – July 9th

It’s a regrettable sign of our times that the grooming and care of our public parks cannot be accomplished without private volunteers. East Sacramento Preservation lauds the efforts of the volunteers, and agrees that citizens should pitch in and help, but wonders: Why don’t we have enough revenue to support public works, such as parks, pools and smooth streets? What are our priorities?

The next work day at McKinley Park is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The panhandle area near the Shepard Garden and Arts Center and the jogging track will be the focus of the July volunteer corps work day.   If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information on how to help call 452-8011.
