Neighborhood National Night Out Celebration
National Night Out / East Sacramento and Midtown Neighbors
Come and Chat with neighbors, Sacramento Police Department, reps, and enjoy our ICE CREAM Social !
- WHAT : This year marks the 40th annual National Night Out event taking place in communities and neighborhoods throughout Sacramento. This community-building campaign enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
- WHEN: Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
- WHERE: 601 Alhambra Blvd, In front of the Clunie Community Center, McKinley Park
This event is presented by Midtown East Sacramento Advocates (MESA), East Sacramento Preservation (ESP), East Sac Community Association (ESCA), and East Sac Chamber of Commerce. The ice cream social is provided by MESA and Sunny’s Market.

East Sacramento Preservation 2023 Scholarship Winners
East Sacramento Preservation (ESP) is proud to announce the ESP’s Community Voices Scholarship winners for the 2022-23 school year. We recognized three graduating students from our designated public high school, Kit Carson International Academy. These students value and support their neighbors and neighborhoods.
1. Alexa Vasquez
Alexa Vasquez is a senior graduate at Kit Carson International Academy and a recipient of the 2023, ESP Neighborhood Voices Scholarship. This fall, she will be attending California State University, Sacramento, and major in Political Science. Her career goal is to become an immigration attorney and concentrate on helping the immigrant community in Sacramento.
2. Cielo Teresita Lopez
Cielo Teresita Lopez is a senior graduate at Kit Carson International Academy and also a recipient of the 2023, ESP Neighborhood Voices Scholarship. She will be attending California State University, Sacramento, and majoring in Social Work.
3. Maura Perez- Lima
Maura Perez-Lima is a senior graduate at Kit Carson International Academy and also a recipient of the 2023, ESP Neighborhood Voices Scholarship. She will be attending California State University, Sacramento, this fall and will study Political Science. Her main goal is to find a working career in education or local government.
