1) Approval of Minutes
- Minutes from the June meeting will be posted on the website.
- Ellen Cochrane will update both the June and August minutes for posting.
2) Treasurer’s Report
- Will Green presented a comprehensive financial report.
3) TV Installation
- The television in the Alhambra Room (ESP donation) has been installed and is operational.
- Additional work is needed to improve Wi-Fi access.
4) Folsom Boulevard Expansion
- Rose Luther provided an extensive report on the Folsom Boulevard Road Diet Plan.
- The City Council has not yet scheduled a vote on the plan.
- Rose spoke with Avtar Banwait, Assistant Civil Engineer and Project Manager, who confirmed:
- Concerns about H Street and J Street impacts can be sent to him directly.
- A traffic consultant is involved, but it is unclear whether H and J Streets have been specifically studied.
- The City Council will vote “sometime in the future” when the plan is further along.
- Rose advised that concerns should be submitted to Avtar Banwait as soon as possible since the plan is still being developed.

5) National Register
- Correction: The update pertains to El Dorado School, not McClaskey Adult Center.
- The nomination is moving forward, with a hearing anticipated in November.
6) Next Meeting
- No meeting will be held in September.
- The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
7) Trash Dash
- The next Trash Dash will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, meeting at Duck Park.
- Will Green will lead the event, joined by neighborhood volunteers.
8) ESP Membership
- Ellen Cochrane will ensure ESP joins Sacramento Preservation.
9) Scholarship Committee
- The scholarship program is progressing.
- ESP will provide seed money for matching funds, managed under ESP’s 501(c)(3) structure.
- The Scholarship Committee will manage the funds directly, with oversight by the Treasurer.
10) Planning Commission Invitation
- Discussion postponed to the next meeting.
11) Non-Profit Donations
- The board reviewed a list of potential non-profit donation recipients.
- Discussion will continue at future meetings.
12) Mary Ann’s Bakery Project
- No new updates at this time.
13) 501(c)(3) Status
- ESP’s 501(c)(3) status remains in excellent standing.
- President Martín Palomar announced he will not seek re-election.
- Will Green plans continue to serve as Treasurer.
