Neighborhood Meeting 10/13/2021!

Come to the East Sacramento Preservation Meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. We’re meeting at Ettore’s on Fair Oaks. Come early to munch dinner. Here are the minutes from the last meeting.

Treasurer Report

Scholarship Award Update

Ellen Cochrane absent; no update provided.

McKinley Pond Update

Judy McClaver absent; no update provided.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Discussed that Save our Neighborhoods is not 501c3 and 

Is ESP interested in sponsoring them? Discussion will be continued. Also mentioned that there is another local organization, which is also in the process of acquiring non-profit status, the Eggery and Tanama Garden in Oak Park. Discussed the possibility to visit the Eggery and Tanama Community Garden this month. Martin will schedule a visit and send an email with the date, time, and address. 

McKinley Park and Clean Up

Sacramento Picks It Up on Facebook is an active litter abatement group. There is no official website, but everyone is welcome to join and volunteer. Anyone who joins the Facebook group can plan/set up a cleanup date and location. The volunteers are responsible for hauling the waste, as well as bringing their own clean up tools.

NO2Rezone Update

Read Harris reported that SB9 and S10 most likely will be approved.

ESP Zoom Meeting 

Jennifer Cummings suggested that we create a Zoom account so that we can hold future ESP meetings. Martin will work on creating an account.

Renewal Membership

Will Green continues to work on a membership renewal letter.
