20 Is Plenty Lawn Sign Available

Speeding on residential streets puts pedestrians, cyclists, and families at risk. To raise awareness and encourage safer driving, Slow Down Sacramento is launching the “20 Is Plenty” lawn sign campaign.

Why 20 MPH Matters

Lower speeds significantly improve safety. A pedestrian hit at 20 mph has a much higher chance of survival than one struck at 30 mph or higher. Slower speeds mean:

  • Fewer crashes – More time for drivers to react.
  • Less severe injuries – Reduced impact force.
  • Safer neighborhoods – Walkability and bikeability improve.

Get Involved

  • Order a sign – For a $15 donation, Slow Down Sacramento will deliver a “20 Is Plenty” sign to your home.
  • Spread the word – Talk to neighbors and share on social media.
  • Advocate for change – Help push for safer speed limits.

77 Volunteers, 16 Trees, and a Greener Future

A record-breaking day!

A total of 77 dedicated volunteers—our largest turnout yet—came together at the Shephard Garden Center to plant 16 beautiful new trees in the eastern lawn. And in just 90 minutes, the work was done!
