That is accomplished by raising money to help support agencies, which provide services to vulnerable women and children.

Some of the agencies that have been supported by Soroptimist International of Sacramento in the past are: The Guardian Scholars program at CSUS for Foster Youth; Sacramento Children’s Home and Sacramento Receiving Home for their Foster Youth programs; My Sister’s House, a domestic violence safe house; Women’s Empowerment (a training facility to get homeless women back into the workforce); The Crisis Nurseries (a safe place for children whose parents are experiencing a crisis); The Boys & Girls Club for at risk children; and, The Independent Living Program for emancipating Foster Youth and many more.  Please see the Soroptimist website at www.soroptimistsacramento.org or the Edible Gardens website at www.ediblegardensac.org or call  (916) 709-6748 to purchase tickets.
