Has anyone seen the Limelight signs that have gone up on the old ‘One Hr Martinizing Cleaner’ property next door to Limelight’s card room/cafe? Does anyone know if Limelight has requested a permit for expansion of their card room? If anyone else is interested/concerned about this topic would appreciate hearing from you. I think the Limelight should be carefully monitored by our neighborhood.
Years ago I and a few other concerned ESIA members gathered signatures and complained to the city when the Limelight bought the old Rosemont Grill and were going to turn it into a card room. Our complaints stopped the card room and instead it became Andiamo Restaurant for a number of years before closing down. Now it appears they may be expanding their card room at the corner of Alhambra and J St.’s.
If they are expanding, it would be surprising if the city allowed it since Sutter Middle school exists now across the street and also who needs additional expansion of a card room in East Sac.
