McKinley Mulch Madness – July 15 & August 4

Grab your wheelbarrow and join two after-work mulching parties this summer at McKinley Park hosted by Sacramento Tree Foundation. Volunteers will be applying mulch rings around the park’s trees. Volunteers will meet near the basketball court on Tuesday, July 15, and near the tennis court picnic tables on Monday, August 4. Both sessions are scheduled to run from 6:30 to 8 p.m. No worries if you don’t have a wheelbarrow: The tree foundation will have extra wheelbarrows, gloves and rakes.

The effort is supported by the city’s parks and recreation department and the tree foundation. The city’s urban forestry service will provide the mulch. For more information or to register, go to www.sactree.com/events
