Theodore Judah Elementary School Alert!
Theodore Judah neighborhood public school is a gem. School employees and volunteers ask for our help keeping the school free from vandalism this summer. Below is a note from the principal and some pictures from the environmental/composting program at the school.
Please Watch Our School This Summer!
The last day of school at Theodore Judah Elementary was June 13. We would greatly appreciate your keeping an eye on the campus while we are on summer break.
Please report any suspicious activity to the Sacramento City Police non-emergency number, 264-5471. Of course, if there is an imminent threat such as a fire, please call 911.
The school does have a security alarm and security cameras. However, neighbors are our most valuable asset because you can spot problems before they become more serious.
Thank you for being such wonderful neighbors and supporters of our school. We hope you have a terrific summer.
Sincerely,
Corrie Buckmaster Celeste
Principal

McKinley Park Volunteer Day–July 7th
Friends of East Sacramento continues to do a stellar job supporting McKinley Park. Join the volunteer crew on July 7th. Details from FOES below.
Hello Neighbors and Volunteers,
Please join your neighbors and friends Saturday, July 7th from 9 to 12 in McKinley Park. We’ll be pruning, weeding, raking and sweeping around Shepard Garden and Arts Center.
Meet by the picnic benches near the Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Boulevard. There will be coffee, water and snacks.
Parking is available behind the Center’s building (off of Park Way, between 33rd and 35th Streets).
Stay as long as you can–your efforts will be appreciated! Remember to wear close-toed shoes and bring (if you have them) garden gloves.
Friends of East Sacramento
P.S. While we won’t be having a volunteer day in August we are planning on one later in the fall. As soon as we have a confirmed date we will let you know.
